What is the difference between Lands End “Inlet” and “Outlet” Stores?

I think calling it an “Inlet” is just Land’s End’s way of trying to be a little bit different and to distinguish their retail stores from being true “outlet” stores. The Inlet stores I’ve been to carry a mix of “catalog favorites” (brand new, popular catalog items), outlet items (discounted, overstock merchandise) and “Not Quite Perfect” items – items with flaws or catalog returns. Loves me my Land’s End! They take ANYTHING back!
