What is the difference between laser whitening and home kits?
Laser treatment is carried out by a fully trained Smile Therapist applying a Hydrogen Peroxide solution on your teeth. Once this solution is on, the laser light is placed over your smile region to speed up the chemical reaction of the Hydrogen Peroxide. Teeth whitening utilising at-home tray based teeth whitening products utilise a tray that is filled with whitening gel containing carbamide peroxide and then placed on and slipped over the teeth. The bleaching tray is then worn for multiple hours per day (or else overnight), for some weeks, while the effects of the teeth whitening process take place. The results are gradual and no staining product should be consumed throughout the treatment process.
