LPL is low pressure laminate. HPL is high pressure laminate. LPL is a piece of paper with the color printed on it, there is a modified acrylic overcoat and no backer. It is not as scratch resistant as HPL but is a lot less expensive. LPL only comes in the colors we have listed. HPL is a piece of paper with the color printed on it, a full – acrylic overcoat for scratch resistancy and a backer which adds thickness and strength. HPL is available in almost any color you want, HPL – adds about 2 weeks to the time required to manufacture as we must order that specific laminate from that manufacturer.
