What is the difference between Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) and Graphite in terms of Solid Lubricants?

A. Natural Graphite is a filler and does not possess to the same degree the plating capabilities of MoS2. Like Moly, Graphite is a mineral, and has a low coefficient of friction and can be relatively small in particle side. However, it cannot sustain the loads that Moly can and will, therefore, wear sooner and have a much shorter useful life.
