What is the difference between Mucinex and Mucinex maximum strength?
It sounds like you already answered your question… there is twice as much of the active ingredient per pill. “Maximum Strength” in this case just makes it so that you only need to take 1 pill at a time instead of 2… not that you’re taking a higher dose, but you’re taking a higher dose per pill so you don’t need to take as many pills. The only reason the higher dose would be better is that it’s easier to swallow 1 pill than 2, but if you don’t care, I’d personally go for whichever one is cheaper. I hope I helped!
