"Musical Theater" is a genre/type of play that includes music, singing, and often dancing. "Broadway" is a coveted street in Manhattan, New York where successful shows, Musical Theater or straight Plays, are performed. For example, "Wicked" is a musical that is performed both ON Broadway (in a theater that is on Broadway Blvd) as well as IN the West End (London) and ON tour. However, "A Raisin in the Sun" is also ON Broadway, but it's a straight play.  more
