What is the difference between NLGI 0,1 and 2?
The numerical value after “NLGI” refers to grease thickness. On this scale, the higher the number, the thicker the grease. The most common grade for grease gun applications is NLGI 2. Centralized systems require a thinner grease such as NLGI 0 or 1. Note that NLGI 0 grade greases are too thin to be packaged in tubes.
