What is the difference between Nurse Case Management and Social Work?
• Social work focuses on the psychological and social needs of patients such as psychiatric facility placements, domestic violence issues, hospice placements and drug and alcohol problems. • RN Case managers focus on the medical needs of patients such as nursing facility and rehabilitaion facility placements, medicine authorizations and arrangements for durable medical equipment.
