What is the difference between oilcloth and vinyl tablecloths?
Oilcloth is frequently confused with cheap vinyl tablecloths. Vinyl is typically identified by a “furry” underside. It’s not as durable as oilcloth. It stains easily and is flammable. Vinyl table coverings generally do not have the depth of color that is possible in oilcloth. Oilcloth is a standard 47 inch width.
