What is the difference between paid online surveys, product testing and a focus groups?
Paid online surveys are those you take online by completing the questionnaire. You receive an invitation, take a survey and get paid. Online surveys are usually short, rarely but sometimes some of them may take up to an hour to complete. During the product testing you usually get a product that you need to use for some time, and then take a survey or write a review on that product. Your reward will usually be a product you’ve tested. For taking part in Focus groups you will generally be paid in cash and payments are higher than with paid online surveys, however, it is also more time consuming. Focus Groups may take place in some physical location that you need to come at, they also can be done over the phone or it could be an online discussion group.
