What is the difference between retirement living and assisted living?
A retirement community is a general name of different types of senior living communities such as an assisted living community, an independent living community, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, etc.
Retirement living is for people who would like to simplify their lives, eliminating much of the maintenance required by owning a home. Assisted living is for those who are having a difficult time with daily activities such as maintaining adequate nutrition, remembering to take medications or dressing or bathing. Is there a minimum age limit to move into Evergreen Estates? We do not have an age limit for our residents. However, the majority of our residents are between the ages of 60 and 100.
