SAP’s SOA middleware capabilities of the SAP NetWeaver stack are delivered with two major technology bundles: SAP NW CE (Composition Environment) and SAP NW PI. SAP NW CE is an integrated development, modeling and runtime environment for composite applications. It integrates processes, information and UI into composites consuming services. SAP NW PI is an infrastructure for service enablement as well as service and process orchestration and mediation (mapping, routing). It provides secure, standards-based, reliable, and scalable communication between sender and receiver applications in heterogeneous system landscapes, within an enterprise and beyond enterprise boundaries.
