Think of Normal Sequence as taking several pictures one after another and displaying them in sequence. Another way to think of it is this: If you were going into the darkroom to develop a blot on film, you would probably expose your blot to film for 1 min, 2 min, and 3 min. Normal Sequence in movie mode does exactly the same thing. To “watch a blot develop before your eyes”, select Stack Mode. If you program it to take 10 one-minute images, each image appears before your eyes as it is captured, and added to the previous image. It will look like the blot is getting darker and darker, and you can pick the image that gives you the best exposure time. This is a great way to obtain a good blot image with exactly the right exposure time. Blots with good signal levels usually require less than 5 minutes of exposure time. back to top 5.
