What is the difference between the “Cafe” and “Restaurant”?

The difference is the style of service you prefer? In the cafe you order and prepay at the counter and a runner brings your order to you. In the restaurant you are waited on at the table by a server. The cafe is intended for coffee, dessert, lingering, and light meals.

I think the main difference is in size of assortment. In cafe there are less positions in the menu and usually they are specialised. But in restaurant assortment is much bigger and usually there is a bigger variety of dishes, such as seafood, pizzas, pasta etc. I personally prefer restaurants. One of my favorite is Italiener Verden. It has a big variety of choice. So I never get used to food and can taste every time something new.

The difference in the cafe and restaurant is huge .The restaurant is a more serious institution where you need to have a dress code. In a cafe for a more informal pause. In the cafe you can go just to drink a Cup of coffee , I love to meet friends in the evening for a Cup of quality delicious coffee. I drink only  coffee which is  grinded. The professional grinder https://www.helixcoffee.com/collections/eureka   can be used as a grinder for  nuts or ice  or I can easily distinguish between quality coffee it’s why I began to be interested and self-independent approach to the selection of coffee .

In my opinion, all the difference in the number of dishes on the menu. As far as I know, the cafe usually has a small number of dishes and snacks. The restaurant should have a large number of different dishes, first, second and so on. For example in French restaurant in Redfern has a large selection of dishes and a large wine list, which in the cafe you obviously will not see
