What is the difference between the Credit Bureaus?
These 3 agencies are independent of each other and therefore do not exchange information between them. These three agencies may have different information from each other, so credit information may be present on one and not the others. There are many factors that determine this which is usually based on preference of various sources of credit information. Many financial institutions, for example may use only one of the agencies or may use all three depending on company policy. The credit reports for each of the three agencies will have a different visual appearance and formatting. This sometimes makes it difficult to accurately compare them to each other and interpret the overall results.
