What is the difference between the growth of the crystal and the growth of a pant?
Well plants undergo photosynthesis in addition to nutrients to grow. They need light, nutrients from the soil and oxygen. Crystals need various chemicals solutions “feeding” their growth, and most must have certain growth conditions including high heat and high pressure for sustained periods of time (thousands to millions of years). If even one element is missing, then the crystal will grow into something else, or if it is above or below a certain point in the earth’s crust it can turn into something totally different (for example, a diamond, which is pure carbon, must have a precise temperature and amount of pressure to become a diamond, otherwise, if there is too much or too little heat and pressure, carbon becomes graphite).
