What is the difference between the Internet and the librarys databases?
The library purchases access to subscription databases and for that we have access to thousands of articles from scholarly journals, newspapers, magazines, conferences and more. The databases provide abstracts, full text articles, subject headings, authority, reliability and validity. Much of the content on the Internet is free, but unreliable. There may be no way to be certain how a web page author gathered his facts or if the information has been evaluated or if the page has been updated regularly.
