What is the difference between the K-1 visa for fianc (e) s and the K-3 visa for spouses?
The K-1 visa is issued to the fianc (e) of a U.S. citizen to permit the fianc(e) to enter the United States to marry. After being married, the former fiance can apply for adjustment of status.
