What is the difference between the Public Information Session and the Public Hearing/Meeting organized by the Department of Environment and Local Government?
A Public Information Session is organized by the Proponent to provide study updates, progress reports and results of the EIA to the general public, stakeholders, industries, and the Aboriginal Community. The Public Meeting that will be organized by the Department of the Environment and Local Government will have the Proponent and its Consultants present. Experts will be available at the Public Meeting to hear questions and comments after the EIA Report has been made public and will be responsible for responding to those questions.
