What is the difference between the Serial Datalink Adapters INLINE, INLINE I, II , 4 and 5?

0

The INLINE and INLINE I adapters can be used with SAE J1587/SAEJ1708 communication only. The INLINE II, INLINE 4 and INLINE 5 adapters can be used with SAE J1587/SAE J1708 and SAE J1939 communications. The INLINE 5 can communicate with your PC through a 9-pin serial connector or by using the Universal Serial Bus (USB) through a 5-pin mini-connector. The adapter connects to the SAE J1708/J1587 and SAE J1939 datalinks. The INLINE 5 will even work with your existing INLINE II or 4 Datalink cables.
