Both organizations share an unflagging commitment to the betterment of community. The primary difference is that “The YMCA is dedicated to the growth of all persons in spirit, mind and body and a sense of responsibility to each other and the global community” and The YWCA takes a more focused and specific approach to community as described in their mission “…to providing services by and for women, to further the development of women and their families in our community. more
