Mosquito netting is made on the same type of machine as tulle, but with a softer fiber. Mosquito netting is softer, drapier and doesn’t stick out as much as tulle. There are a few stiffer insect nettings, they have larger holes in them. Real tulle from the fabric and craft store is the stiffest and comes in the most colours. Sometimes scrunching the tulle in you hand many times will help break down some of the fibers and starch making it easier to tie. Also, sometimes water will remove the starchy coating. Maybe giving the tie ends (but not the whole tutu) a dunk in water Which website are you using? Perhaps if I look at it I might be able to see something that might help if it’s changed slightly? Maybe the tie ends need to be trimmed down a bit?
