What is the difference between Virus Throttling and Connection Rate Filtering?
Virus throttling is the term used to describe the benefit of features like Connection Rate Filtering (CRF). Connection rate filtering is the specific feature implemented in the E.09.xx software code that will detect and respond to clients that are exhibiting high connection rate (virus like) behavior. At this point the two terms are almost synonymous since CRF is the first virus throttling feature.
