What is the difference between working tax credits and child tax credits?

0

child tax credit is payble to anyone with a child, working tax credit is paid to people over the age of 25 who work but are on a low wage or are a single parent over 16 if you work more then 16 hrs a week. But only one person out of a couple can recieve the money. So if your a single mum and work more the 16hrs a week then you’ll recieve both child and working tax credits. If you have a partner who works more the 16hrs a week then you’ll be able to claim both. But if your a single mum and dont work you cna only claim child tax credit! Apply for both, the tax credit people will work out which you entitled to!
