Health Fee College Health Service (CHS) is available to all degree-seeking students by virtue of the health fee (currently $50 per semester, and $50 for summer) that is included in the term bill, and is charged to ALL STUDENTS irrespective of insurance status or if the student uses CHS or not. It covers unlimited visits to CHS, including counseling, strep screening, STD exams, pap smears, etc. Student dependents (spouse and children over 3 years of age) may also use these services for an additional $25 health fee per semester. Student Health Insurance Student health and wellness is a high priority at Berea College. Campus Health Service along with medical health insurance ensure that students may obtain preventive health care and necessary treatment for illness and injury both here and abroad.
