What is the diffrence between rotational and line symmetry?

0

Line symmetry is when an image is reflected across a line. A heart has line symmetry because you can draw a line down the middle and fold it on that line and each side of the heart would fold exactly on top of each other. Rotational symmetry is when you can turn the image and it will look the same at some point before you turn it all the way around. A rectangle has rotational symmetry because when you turn it half way around it looks exactly the same as when you started. (For the record it also has line symmetry.) Hope this helps.
