What is the Diploma Supplement (DS) or the European Degree Title Supplement?
It refers to a supplementary document that is provided with the university degree, which covers the entire academic and professional training of the student. In brief, it consists of information about academic courses, and the skills and professional abilities acquired during the period of study. Undoubtedly, it will continue to remain open so that it incorporates lifelong learning. Therefore, the knowledge acquired by students from different European Institutions of Higher Educations will not lose relevance or significance- as might happen in the normal case where there is no general consensus of qualifications. The Diploma Supplement aims to be a standard document for all of Europe and which provides a general description of the naturalness, level, content, and range of studies carried out by the degree student. The Royal Decree 1044/2003 (BOE 11/09/2003) establishes the procedure for issuing the European Degree Title Supplement in Spain.
