What is the disaventage of archery in the middle ages causing people invent further weapons like the cannon?
Archery was one of the most efficient methods to kill some one if it’s time, so it wasn’t because there was anything wrong with the method. It is just that new things were found. They still used the archer because a man with a bow could shoot arrows at 50 miles per hour and shoot hundreds in several minutes. When gun power came to Europe from China here was something that could blow a hole in a stone wall and it is always man’s inclination to use something bigger and better. We still do this today.
