It has not been determined yet the fate of our buildings. However, in order to construct the new high school and middle school on the tentative plan, Nicholas Elementary and Circleville High School will need to be abated/demolished. As for the remaining four buildings including Atwater Elementary, Court Street Intermediate, Everts Middle School and Mound Elementary the district would entertain any offers from community agencies or private individuals on the purchase of the property. 12. Will new buildings cost more or less to operate than what we have now? The total paid for utilities in the Fiscal Year 2009 was $411,478.87 for the district’s total current square footage of 371,318 which equates to $1.11 per square feet. The architects recommend using an estimate of $1.00 to $2.00 per square foot for cost comparison for utilities in the new buildings.
