What is the Duck River Like (fast/slow)?
The Duck River is a slow, meandering river. It is perfect for beginners or families with children that want a relaxing ride without having too much prior canoe/kayak knowledge or skill. The river usually is about 4-5 feet deep on avg. Though there are spots that are much deeper and also some spots that are much more shallow. Water level is always in direct relation to the amount of precipitation that we have had in the area. Due to the number of cities that are getting water from the river, even in dry weather we have a good flow so cities can get the water they need.
