What is the effect of cutting hair into bangs over the forehead?
Bangs cover the forehead cover the 3rd eye and inhibit the intuitive development of the person. The third eye is located slightly above the two eyes. When one has bangs, the hair blocks the solar energy which normally penetrates the porous bone of the forehead, and thus the pituitary gland (thought to be responsible for raising one’s consciousness and intuition) cannot be stimulated by the solar energy. This is why many people with bangs will find themselves suffering from depression. Sikhs do not even have to consider this question, because they do not cut their hair at all.
