What is the ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) system ?
The “Easy Serving Espresso” (ESE) system helps those of us who are not experts in preparing a perfect espresso. This system consists of two main elements: a dose (serving pod) of about 6.5-7 gram of ground coffee, packed between two layers of filter paper, and an “extraction chamber” (portafilter) of exactly the same shape as the serving pod. Thanks to the ESE system, preparing espresso, a complex concoction of tastes and flavors, becomes child’s play. This machine is also easy to clean.
