G’day Anonymous, Thank you for your question. I am an administrator on Wikipedia. You have to go through an Request for Adminship. You can self-nominate or be nominated for others. However, you have to be a user on Wikipedia for a while so that other users can trust you with the tools which includ the ability to delete articles and other material such as images. Participation in Wikiprojects and other tasks such as vandal fighting not requiring admin tools is also a bonus. I was a user for 18 months before I became an administator.
