What is the Guilford philosophy about living on campus?
Guilford is a residential college. Residential living means more than just housing. The goal of the Office of Campus Life is to create a well-balanced living and learning atmosphere for all residential students. The residence halls are active places. A variety of opportunities for interaction helps foster new friendships, the development of leadership skills and an understanding of differences. The Office of Campus Life is staffed by student workers and full-time workers. Campus Life professional staff reside in three of the residence halls. In addition, more than 30 students serve as hall directors (HDs) and resident advisers (RAs). These students live in the residence halls and student apartments, working to create a positive environment. The staff is readily available for support, advising, programming and introducing residents to the many resources of the college.
