What is the habitat of a tree frog?

It depends on the type of tree frog. Pick a type of tree frog first and then you can do an internet search on its habitat. The ones around here (NJ) prefer trees near a year-round water source but the type of water (pond, swamp, stream, river) and kind of terrain depends on the species of frog. Some of the South-American species live in plants that hold small pools of water, in tree tops, at the base of trees, or on plants hanging over water. In Asian countries there are species that prefer to live on bamboo. These sites offer tree frogs for sale or give information on them. Check out the frog names, do an internet search on the one you want to do a diarama about, and learn what type of habitat it lives in. Good luck. http://www.exotic-pets.co.uk/products.ph… http://www.npwrc.usgs.

GREEN TREE FROG Habitat: Green tree frogs can be housed in a large, unheated vivarium, out of direct sunlight. You may also want to get them a flourescent tube for localized heat which apparently they like to hang out on for hours. The temperature should generally be maintained between 20 and 25C (68-77F) during the summer, and a bit cooler in the winter. This species seems to do really well in captivity provided they didnt get too jolted in shipping. Apparently these guys often arrive in pet stores in such bad shape that even the most tender loving care won’t save them. However, if you got one in good shape, they are really pretty hardy creatures. WHITE’S TREE FROG Habitat: This is a very hardy creature and is really good for beginners, though some pet owners complain that they are sometimes not sufficiently active. (This most likely, however, is a result of overfeeding.) It requires a really big and tall terrarium (recommended size is 25 gallon!!) with a lot of plants and hollow bran
