What is the history of Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy was pioneered in France in the 1950s by Dr. Michael Pistor and recognized by the French Academy of Medicine as a specialty of medicine in 1987. It is now part of the standard curriculum taught in French medical schools and practiced by more than 18,000 doctors in Europe and worldwide. Currently Dr. Jacques Le Coz, who practiced with Dr. Pistor for 20 years, is considered the leading authority on Mesotherapy worldwide. He continues to practice and teach, as a leading physician at the French National Institute of Sport and Physical Education as well as professor of sports medicine in Cochin Hospital in Paris.
