What is the history of the Polish flag?
White and red were admitted to be national colors first at 03.11.1792. At this event’s first anniversary maidens were wearing white robes with red ribbon and men had white-red sashes tied round their waists. First legal regulation of Polish flag was accepted at 07.02.1831 After regaining independence the colors and shape of flag was enacted by Parliament in 1919 (1st of August). Two years later the red color was specified to crimson but in 1927 it was changed to vermilion, which was also used in an act in 1955. Colors were changed again in 1980.
