The Inspector palette is a context specific area for editing anything you have selected. For instance, if you have a page selected then the Inspector palette will display the options available for a page, such as the Title, the File name, and the page Dimensions; if you have an HTML item selected then the Inspector will display the options available for HTML items and so on. The Inspector has three main panes (four in Pro), the General settings, Appearance settings and the Output settings. In Pro it will also contain the Styles pane that can be used to see the styles that are applied to the page, the item and the text (if selected). • The General settings displays options such as names, titles, and positioning • The Appearance settings has options for altering the way the page, item or text should look • The Output settings specifies how the page, or item should be output – what HTML level (Pro), or filetype for example.
