What is the interview process?

We like the interviews to last at least three hours to give us time to get to know your dog and to give your dog time to realize that you have left and — most importantly — to be excited to see you when you come to pick them up. At Camp Bow Wow, the initial interview day is always free. The interview usually consists of us leading your dog into a separate play area or “interview area” where our camp counselors will spend a little time getting to know your dog and checking to see how your dog interacts with people. At this time, the camp counselor will also look your dog over for any possible issues such as fleas and ticks and for any existing injuries that may worsen when playing with other dogs.

I have a phone interview which is simple questions to make sure I am able to assist you in your child care needs, this takes only a few minutes. Then if you and I decide to go further then I do a in-home interview. This takes about 1-2 hours. During this process we go over some key points. I show you my home, where your child will be playing, where they take a nap, where they eat and where we do our schooling. I also go over my program for the preschool. We also go over any questions you might have or I might have. Then you can decide if you like what you see and if we are a good fit. I can also meet your child and see if I can meet your needs.

In London, every candidate goes through several interviews with BCG consultants. The interviews usually have three main parts: the first part focuses on the candidate’s CV and motivation, the second one serves to discuss a case which can give you a real flavour of what our actual work is like, and, lastly, there is time for Q&A. The Interview Prep section on our Web site describes the process. In particular, you’ll learn what to expect and how to prepare.
