What is the Known Relationship column?

0

On the Family Finder Matches page, the Known Relationship column allows you and your matches to set (assign) your relationship based on traditional genealogical records. It is a two step process; once one of you has set the relationship the other person will need to confirm it. To confirm a known relationship: • Login to your myFTDNA account. (http://www.familytreedna.com) • Go to Family Finder Matches on the left navigation panel. • Find your relative in the Matches table. • Click on the Assign button, in their row. • Select the relationship from the dropdown menu. • Click the Save button. Once you have assigned a known relationship, you should let your relative know so that they may confirm it.
