The Blue Whale isn’t considered populary as a predator, even in scientists domains.

The largest predator of all time that we have an evidence of the existence is an unamed species of pliosaur from Mexico which lived during the jurassic period 145 millions years ago. A juvenile individual skeleton measuring between 50 and 60 feet long was found since 1985 and is still excavated. The skull of the creature was 12 feet long and there are evidences as it was killed by a much larger specimen of its own kind. Teeth marks on the skull indicate an adult animal larger than a bull sperm whale, possibly more than 80 feet long, with teeth between 40 and 50 cm long, only the crown.

The Megalodon shark is not far behind. Actual evidences indicate that this giant species of mackerel shark was around 60 feet or so full grown, and was up to more than 70 tons. There are suspicious as it could have up to almost 70 feet long. Megalodon is the largest predatory fish ever recorded.

The recently found macropredatorial sperm whale Livyatan melvillei was possibly as large and owned impressive teeth up to 36 cm long.

Spinosaurus aegypticus is the largest and heaviest land predator ever known, despite T-rex fanboys. Rcently snout found indicate it could possibly have reached 60 feet long, as the holotype lost during the WWII was 50 feet and only a subadult. Its weight is debatted but an abdolute minimum weight of 8 tons is claimed, although it was probably more than 10 to 11 tons.

Spinosaurus was a fish eatern but its great size and powerful crocodile-like jaws and large claws suggests that it could have preyed on other dinosaurs, as an actual Grizzly.

What the largest predator that ever lived is depends on what you regard as a predator. There are various definitions of predation floating around, but it’s safe to say that anything that consumes other animals for food is a predator. Under this broad definition, that largest predator that ever lived is the blue whale, which consumes several tons of plankton every day. This plankton includes both algae and organisms such as krill. The blue whale weighs up to 180 tonnes and individuals up to 29.9 m (98 ft) in length have been found. It is thought to be not just the largest predator that ever lived, but the largest animal in general. However, a whale that filters krill with its baleen is not generally what people think of when they hear the word “predator.” For those unsatisfied with the blue whale, there are also at least three other very large predators that have a chance of vying for the title of largest predator if whales are excluded: an unidentified pliosaur called the Monster of Ar
