What is the Luthite body material used on the Curbow basses?

0

The Luthite material was developed by our New Materials Development Department wich is not wood. It is a composite material that mimics the sonic characteristics of wood. It has a certain tonal character since it’s composite, but that composite character may be desirable for certain kinds of sounds. The dominant sonic character of Luthite can be described as powerful, focused, punchy, and very clear. This is ideal for slapping and popping on the bass, which is what the Curbow excels at. Plus, Luthite is very light in weight as well.
