What is the Maendeleo Agricultural Technology Fund (MATF)?
The Maendeleo Agricultural Technology Fund funds projects selected by a panel of experts. These projects work with farmer groups to implement new technologies in crop, livestock and natural resource management that increase agricultural production. Note: Maendeleo is a Swahili word meaning development How are MATF projects selected? There are clear guidelines for the selection of the most effective projects and Members of the NFU/Africa 100 Appeal will be part of the selection panel. How are MATF projects monitored? Each MATF project provides quarterly reports of activities implemented, outcomes of those activities and expenditure as a record of progress against agreed targets. An external evaluation is conducted when the project has been completed. How do I know my money is going to Africa 100? All monies donated to the appeal will go to fund one of the MATF projects.
