What is the main difference between Quasar, Raptor and PrGen ?
PrGen generates a three-dimensional peptidic receptor surrogate and allows for receptor-mediated alignment and ligand equilibration. It is a pure 3-D QSAR tool. Quasar and Raptor generate a family of receptor-surface models populated with atomistic properties (salt-bridges, H-bond donors and acceptors, charged and uncharged hydrophobic particles, H-bond flip-flop particles, and solvent). They allow for multiple ligand representation (4-D QSAR), induced-fit models (5-D QSAR) and solvation scenarios (6D-QSAR). As they are based on conceptually different scoring protocols, they allow for consensus scoring. Details are given in the software section where the detailed software documentation can be downloaded in pdf format.
