What is the major difference between traditional and evacuated tube solar heaters?

The basic theory is using sun light to shine on copper pipes (solar collector) which are coated with some dark material, then the pipes work as heat exchanger to transfer heat to a water container. There are a few disadvantages, such as: 1] poor heat storage capability since the pipes lose heat so quickly; 2] can only be used in summer season or days with strong sunlight; 3] most of the solutions contained a built-in electronic heater and reduced collectors’ size to suit the market – they should be classified as electronic heaters instead of solar heater (an expensive one at that).
