WHAT IS THE MATH RECOVERY INTERVENTION SPECIALIST PROGRAM AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

0

Math Recovery Intervention Specialist is an early intervention professional development program that primarily addresses first grade intervention, but teachers throughout the world apply the knowledge and strategies to students of all grades. Math Recovery Intervention Specialists teach in 40-60 lesson cycles in a one-on-one, videotaped setting. This instruction targets the child’s zone of proximal development (ZPD), allowing the child to make rapid gains in mathematical knowledge. Because the instruction builds from the child’s current knowledge, the learning that takes place is lasting and impacting. Math Recovery Intervention Specialists’ students move from being the lowest in their class to achieving with the average or above average within their class. CLICK HERE for more.
