Garmin officially lists the limit on the Oregon to be 4000 segments. Based on testing the Oregon can handle somewhere between 4000 and 4229 map segments. This limit applies to the sum total of segments contained in all .img files loaded on the Oregon including the built in maps, it is not a per file limit. The 60CSx supports a maximum of 2025 map segments by comparison. Verify: Still would like an exact number, I wouldn’t be surprised if the limit is 4k (4196).
