What is the MCG/UGA Medical Partnership?
The MCG/UGA Medical Partnership is a collaborative effort between the Medical College of Georgia and the University of Georgia that is addressing the critical shortage of physicians in the state. The partnership has established a campus in Athens that will educate 40 medical students per year starting in fall 2010. By 2020, the partnership is expected to train 60 students per year in Athens, for a total of 240 medical students.
