What is the meaning of the poem still you rise by maya angelou?
“Still I Rise” by Maya Amgelou is basically saying that she is overcoimg her fears and this is based on the call for rights of african americans. This poem is a call for blacks to be proud of where they come from. In this poem Maya want to give hope and encouragement to many people. It shows that no matter who put her down or treat her badly she had to ignore them and go on with her life.
