What is the meaning of unconditional love to you….?
It’s the ability to give love without needing anything in return for giving that love; it doesn’t request anything of the person that the love is being given to. The reasons we have two different kinds of love is because the second kind of love has conditions attached to it. It is about bending another person’s will to our own, e.g. “I’ll love you if you love me back or if you are a certain way”, etc. With unconditional love, the person has no need to fulfill. They need nothing outside of themselves to complete them, thus, they are free to love without placing a condition on how that love is received or returned. The second type of love, conditional love, isn’t really love at all. It’s a bartering tool. It’s the type of love that hurts the most, as it is ultimately unsatisfying.
